DISPUTE RESOLUTION IN HEALTHCARE AND HOSPITALS

Frank E. Reardon
Mr. Reardon received his undergraduate degree from the College of the Holy Cross and his Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University Law School. Recognizing that the legal issues confronting the health care field were about to become exciting and complex, Mr. Reardon returned to the Harvard School of Public Health to gain a Master of Science Degree in Health Care Administration.  While studying at Harvard, Mr. Reardon did an internship in the General Counsel's office at the Brigham and Women's Hospital.  Upon completion of the internship, he was employed as assistant general counsel by Dr. William Hassan, Brigham and Women's Hospital's General Counsel.  Upon Dr. Hassan's retirement from Brigham and Women's Hospital, Dr. Hassan and Mr. Reardon founded the Boston law firm of Hassan & Reardon P.C. Following Dr. Hassan's passing, Mr. Reardon successfully continued the firm throughout present day as Reardon Law LLC.  Mr. Reardon is admitted to the practice of law in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, the United States District Courts for the District of Massachusetts, the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, as well as the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Reardon has received formal arbitration training from the American Health Lawyers Association as well as the American Bar Association and has served as a neutral in arbitration and mediation since 2007. Mr. Reardon has served on the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Health Section Council and as a member of the Institutional Ethics Committee of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Inc., and Children’s Hospital Boston. Mr. Reardon has also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of St. Monica’s Nursing Home, Roxbury, Massachusetts; Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Medical Area Credit Union, Boston, Massachusetts; and as a trustee of Deaconess/Glover Hospital in Needham, Massachusetts. Mr. Reardon has served as an editor of Forum, the monthly newsletter of the Risk Management Foundation of the Harvard Medical Institutions, and as legal editor for “Resources,” a monthly audio news cassettes of the Risk Management Foundation. Mr. Reardon has lectured and co-authored a number of articles and book chapters on medical legal issues.
